From the desk of the Executive Director

Hello Everyone,

It is with great sadness that I would like to let everyone know that I am going to be changing my schedule for the next several months due to my husband Randy’s health. We are looking at a diagnosis which requires me to spend time with him as his caregiver. I will be working a varied schedule and will be able to respond to emails at least a couple of days a week at this time. I have the utmost confidence in my office staff carrying out our day-to-day activities and to apprise me of anything that needs immediate attention. I appreciate prayers and good thoughts but will not be sharing more information at this time. Please be understanding if you do not hear back from me immediately as I am taking things day by day. I love the Hull Foundation and will continue to be your Executive Director but with just a slightly different schedule. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.

With love and sincerity,

Monica

Aloha!  Moderate adventure took place in July.  We had a total of 9 participants.  Our guests got to kick off their arrival with rum tasting at a local distillery.  Over the course of the week, they engaged in various adventures including a picnic at Wildwood Park, jet boating down the Columbia while learning about the history of Portland and surrounding cities, playing beep ball – followed by catching a baseball game at the Hops Stadium in Portland, OR, and Kayaking through Lacamas Lake.  In their down time they were able to swim in our indoor heated pool, relax in our 12-person hot tub, and enjoy a Mai Tai before getting their grass skirts on for a luau.  Aloha for now, and we’ll see another group back here for a good ole’ time in the wild west at Oral Hull Park for High Adventure on August 17!

Golden Hour

By Tina Christian, Sight Loss Instructor

Fireflies twinkle now

Life slows for fall coming near

End of summer ramped

Music and sun fade

Smiles imprinted

Laughter whispers to the heart

These moments are golden
